The Financial Services industry has had to focus heavily on placing controls within their data infrastructure, driven in part by such regulations as CCAR, BCBS 239, MiFID2, and GDPR, imposing a significant rethink on the control of siloed data architectures.
The good news is, as a result of significant investment in recent years and the impact of new technology, the increased control and major improvement in the quality of data has made a huge impact on the industry.
Financial Services is now beginning to implement transformational technologies, like machine learning and AI to help drive even bigger increases in productivity. These technologies require healthy data to drive them, whether that is structured, or unstructured data.
The focus of the panel will be to look at both the challenges and opportunities the panelists anticipate dealing with based on an industry that continues to embrace technology as we enter a pivotal year for Fintech and Data.
